Happy New Year everyone!
Hope you all had a good start for the New Year so far!
Today, I present to you my Rem and Ram amigurumi. I actually made this last year. I don't remember the exact month, but it was near when I first started crocheting again.
Our Christmas tree is still up, so I decided to retake the picture of Rem and Ram. The first few pictures I took of them (when I finished it) weren't that great. So, I'm glad that I didn't post them until now.
So, with Rem & Ram, it was the first time I decided to try out using fabric glue instead of sewing everything! At the time, I HATED using fabric glue so much! I told my husband, "Why do people say using glue is so much faster?! It's not! It doesn't stay put, and I have to keep reapplying the stinking glue!" Honestly, I was already in too deep to switch back to just sewing everything because it would have taken me 4x longer if I did that. So, I just continued doing everything with the fabric glue.
Later, I found out that it was just the brand of fabric glue I got that sucked! Not all fabric glue is the same. BUT, with this experience, my husband got me a hot glue gun because I told him I've been debating for a long time to get one. (Even before I started crocheting!) So. one day, my husband randomly picked me up a glue gun while he was on his lunch break.
I used it right away! I was already making a Tinkerbell and was going to test out the glue gun. Boy, I loved it immediately. It was nothing like my experience with the bad fabric glue. And now, I glue everything instead of sewing it since I make my amigurumi for myself and not toddlers. By the way, I have not posted my Tinkerbell yet, but she is next on the list to get posted!
I also messed up with Rem, but Ram came out perfectly. It's okay though because I like Ram better anyways, lol. I don't know why I couldn't count when I was making Rem, but I was able to count when I made Ram.
Well, I hope you liked my little story about bad glue, and I hope you liked Rem & Ram!
